In this position you will supply assistance to the customers of the Support Center (clients, referral sources and employees) by performing tasks related to client care and 3rd party reimbursement.

Important Duties and Obligations

  • Adheres to and executes all company policies and procedures, consisting of however not limited to Scientific Programs
  • Brings ideas for process or effectiveness improvements to manager
  • Constructs relationships with places, field management, patients and referral sources
  • Particular functions need outgoing calling and information entry
  • Gathers co-pays and deductible quantities
  • Complies with suitable laws and guidelines
  • Carries out insurance verification and eligibility for services/products
  • Carries out client fulfillment calls and acts as patient supporter to fix concerns or concerns
  • Establishes and maintains a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines
  • Establishes and preserves working understanding of existing products and services used by the company and all relevant governmental policies
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership of tasks and promoting a caring and supportive environment constant with our objective
  • Preserves precision and quality control throughout client contact and information input
  • Handles all elements of initial intake: responding to the phone and receiving faxes, collecting client and referral source info, inputting information into IMBS and eIntake, printing tickets, putting together charts and processing documents
  • Gets permission and certification documents
  • Practices safe work routines, guaranteeing a safe work environment
  • Prepares complete and precise files for Billing Department
  • Processes new orders, reacts to concerns, deals with concerns or forwards to proper personnel in a prompt way to ensure client, recommendation, and staff member satisfaction
  • Processes work orders to field locations and coordinates timely fulfillment of items and services purchased
  • Supplies education to recommendation sources, clients and workers on certifications for service and 3rd celebration billing
  • Supplies product/service details by answering questions, providing help
  • Supplies technical assistance to customers as required
  • Provides extensive evaluation and Quality Guarantee for medical necessity and documents requirements of payors and regulatory bodies
  • Works thoroughly with eIntake exclusive system
  • Carries out other tasks as designated

CERTIFICATIONS

Work is contingent on

  • Background investigation (company-wide)
  • Drug screen (when relevant for the position)
  • Valid motorist’s license in state of home with a clean driving record (when relevant for the position)

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three years of associated previous work experience in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in medical field and administrative record management
  • Strong customer service background

Skills, Understanding and Abilities

  • Successfully communicate in English; both oral and written, with physicians, area employees and patients to make sure questions and issues are processed in a timely manner
  • Valuable, educated and respectful while maintaining a favorable mindset
  • Analyze a variety of guidelines in a variety of communication mediums
  • Knowledge of Resilient Medical Equipment (DME) or House Medical Equipment (HME)
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and requirements
  • Understanding of medical billing practices and of billing repayment
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when managing delicate info

  • Read and successfully interpret composed instructions and/or directions in English
