General Description of Position: Adjunct Faculty positions are short-term, part-time positions worked with each term on an as-needed basis. The accessory professor will be accountable for developing a knowing environment that helps trainees in reaching their objectives; and for offering efficient guideline and evaluation within the structure of typical curricula offered by the School.
Major Responsibilities:
PROGRAM OPERATION: Perform all training tasks required to teach and help with trainee knowing in designated classes. Supply curriculum proper to course( s) being taught to trainees and follows curriculum material and requirements. Keep trainee participation and grading records according to College policy as detailed in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits inquired within recognized timelines. TRAINEES: Is offered to trainees outside arranged class time to respond to questions/provide support. Handle trainee issues and, if required, talk to program organizer to deal with problems. DIRECTION: Meet all set up classes of contracted course( s). Usage innovation such as Blackboard, PowerPoint, and so on as suitable. In occasion of emergency situation lack, alerts program/department chair. Conduct all activities with a gratitude and regard for variety of individuals, designs, and views. Promote like an important part of one’s work.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have strong working understanding of existing innovations proper to location of direction, professors qualifications as detailed in the ASOM 7.1 as suitable to the particular location of direction.
Preferred Qualifications:
A competent professor in medical helping fulfills both of the following requirements:1. Has a made baccalaureate or greater degree from a regionally recognized organization, and2. Has 2 of the following: ● Professional accreditation in the field; ● Two years of straight associated work experience. ● Completed scholastic preparation suitable to the program and/or discipline being taught. Or through all 3 of the following requirements: 1. Has a made partner degree from a regionally recognized organization, and 2. Has a minimum of one year of associated work experience, and 3. Holds an expert accreditation in a minimum of among the following: ● Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or ● Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or ● Certified Medical Assistant (CMA (AAMA)), or ● Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or ● Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), or ● Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or ● Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS).
