ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS-REMOTE POSITION

Performs day-to-day activities as part of the billing and follow-up group in assistance of the income cycle procedure for a designated PBS area.

Documents claims billed, paid, settled, and follow-up in suitable system( s).

Adheres to proactive practices that includes calling the payer straight for payment due on accounts and evaluating and reacting to all mail correspondence in a prompt and precise way.

Communicates with proper healthcare facility departments to clarify billing inconsistencies, and get group, medical, monetary, and insurance coverage details.

Performs all follow-up functions that includes the examination of overpayments, underpayments, credit balances and payment hold-ups. Jobs will be routed to the appropriate workflows with the goal of optimizing compensation for services rendered and guaranteeing claims are paid or settled in a prompt and precise way.

Researches claim rejections, make corrections, take restorative actions, and/or refer claims to suitable associates to guarantee prompt and precise claim resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or associated field, and at as much as 3 (3) years’ of experience and pertinent understanding of earnings cycle functions and systems working within a healthcare facility or center environment, a medical insurance business, handled care company or other healthcare monetary service setting, carrying out medical claims processing, monetary therapy, monetary clearance, accounting or customer care activities or a comparable mix of education and experience. Experience in a complex, multi-site environment chosen.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, consisting of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position runs in a normal workplace environment. The location is well lit, temperature level managed and devoid of threats.
