We are looking for a Coding Supervisor to:
- Be accountable for the everyday oversight of expert coding operations.
- Perform routine reporting of continuous essential efficiency metrics.
- Work together with external departments for connection of coding operations throughout UW Health.
Education:
Minimum – Graduate of a Medical Coding Program or associate degree in health care associated field.
Preferred – Graduation from a Health Infotech or Health Details Administration program.
Work Experience:
Minimum – 3 (3) years’ experience supervising/managing coding in a medium to big center.
Preferred – 3 (3) or more years of experience with coding supervision/management in a scholastic medical.
Licenses and Accreditations:
Minimum – Accreditation as Qualified Expert Coder (CPC), Licensed Outpatient Coder (COC), Licensed Inpatient Coder (CIC), Licensed Coding Expert (CCS), or Licensed Coding Expert Physician-Based (CCS-P) needed.
Preferred – Registered Health Info Professional (RHIT) or Registered Health Details Administrator (RHIA).
Needed Abilities, Understanding, and Capabilities:
- Authorities Coding and Medical Documents Standards.
- Familiarity of automated/computerized encoders, groupers, abstracting, database, billing systems, medical records.
- Proven/demonstrated abilities in usage of encoder grouping and abstracting software application.
- Understanding of the concepts and practices of guidance as used to the management and instructions of workers.
- Strong organizational, preparation, scheduling and job management capabilities.
- Outstanding management capability.
- Exceptional oral and written interaction abilities.
- Outstanding analytical capability to establish and evaluate information to advise services and fix intricate issues.
- Capability to guarantee a high level of consumer complete satisfaction consisting of staff members, clients, visitors, professors and other departments within UWHC/UWMF
Physical Requirements:
Light: Capability to raise to 20 pounds optimum with regular lifting and/or carrying of items weighing as much as 10 pounds.

Work Arrange:
Monday through Friday, from 8: 00 am to 4: 30 pm, 40 hours each week. Hours might differ based upon functional requirement.
