Qualified Coder is accountable for doctor assessment, auditing, training, preparation and other coding services covering most specializeds, consisting of however not restricted to, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Surgery, GI, Emergency Medicine, Sleep, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Anesthesia, Ophthalmology, Oncology, ENT, Epilepsy, Orthopedics, and so on
Expanded Description: accountable for doctor coding reviews/audits, establishing training tools, training team member on any modifications in coding guidelines, acting as specialist to centers and supervisors for coding concerns, helping with development of design templates, cost tickets, and other types as needed, involvement in coding workshops/in-services/seminars and other tasks as asked for. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – Knowledge, abilities, capabilities, license, registration, accreditation, education, and experience
Bachelor Degree chosen.
Clinical background a plus.
Formal education in medical records treatments perfect.
Extensive understanding of medical terms with a thorough understanding of ICD10 CM and CPT Coding concepts concentrating on examination and management services.
Fundamental understanding of existing basic billing practices as specified by AMA, along with, the capability to translate scientific information.
Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement concepts in a health care setting.
Outstanding composed and oral interaction abilities.
Computer abilities needed.
