REGISTERED NURSE ED Coding Reimb Expert

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under basic guidance, codes discharge records for defined departments according to medical diagnoses and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) treatments. Evaluations medical, diagnostic and treatment details in clients’ medical records to identify if needed info for compensation and collection exists and bought properly and codes the exact same according to different coding standards to take full advantage of compensation from 3rd party payers and make sure documents supports quality care. Might carry out numerous clerical responsibilities as essential.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Education, Experience and/or Skills Required:

• Minimum of 3 years medical registered nurse experience

Education, Experience and/or Skills Preferred:

• Experience in Documentation Review/Chart Review
• Experience as a Nurse Auditor

• Required License and/or Certification:

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
