Job Summary: Performs all tasks essential in the evaluation, follow-up and collection of 3rd party insurance coverage claims.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of medical workplace experience. Need to have total understanding of the 1500 Physician billing type relative to the preparation, coding and analysis of info in billing claims. Need to be educated of making use of CPT-4 and HCPCS coding and modifier use. Should be educated of standards and requirements for eligibility, protection and advantages and claim submission practices for all federal government programs (Medicare, Medicaid, VA and Tricare/Champus). Should understand standard billing requirements. Needs experience dealing with PC’s, printers and have the ability to navigate in between a number of PC applications. Should be well-informed of Windows and Microsoft Word.
