JOB SUMMARY

The Billing Specialist position supports the Finance Department and Operational personnel in Foster Care, Independent Living, and Community Based Services. The Billing Specialist is totally accountable for the daily activities connected to the billing and collections for Foster Care, Independent Living, and Community Based Services, along with associated payments to Foster Parents. This position will report to the Director of Finance. It will be anticipated to develop relationships and deal with all financing employee, other DePaul personnel at all levels of the company, and several partner companies and third-party payors of DePaul Services.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Diploma and 2 years of extra education in basic organization, accounting, financing fields, or experience in a workplace with obligation associated to billing or collections are needed. Advanced computer system abilities and efficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) needed. Focus on Excel. Capability to develop spreadsheets for numerous functions needed. Working understanding and usage of Excel solutions such as VLOOKUP, ASAP energies, filters are needed.

Medical billing education, training, and experience in Medicaid or behavioral health billing are preferable.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

The candidate should send prior to work with an existing MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) of a minimum of 7 years and have a driving record that abides by DePaul policy. The candidate will not have actually been founded guilty on any barrier criminal activity( s) on the criminal background report. The candidate will have no established personality of kid abuse or disregard as recorded by the Child Protective Services (CPS) background report. Need to send to and pass pre-employment screening

A hybrid work plan, a mix of telework and onsite work, might be offered.
