As a community-based medical school, the Florida State University College of Medicine supplies doctor assistant and 3rd- and fourth-year scientific training at local medical school campuses around the state through associations with regional doctors, ambulatory care centers and medical facilities.
At the Regional Medical School Campus – Sarasota, clerkship directors from the Sarasota location direct the trainees’ rotations in: household medication, internal medication, pediatrics, surgical treatment, obstetrics-gynecology, geriatrics, psychiatry and emergency situation medication. Extra neighborhood doctors function as clerkship professors in these and other medical locations.
