Coding Specialist I

Job Summary: Oversee billing and coding efforts for designated CMG providers. Handle claims and accounts receivable. Perform chart documentation reviews as necessary. Assist in training providers and staff on current rules and regulations when applicable.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in medical billing or related field or 2 years experience as a coder/biller in a medical clinic environment required. Must obtain coding certification (CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT) within 6 months of hire date. Above average verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of insurance company, Medicare, Medicaid, and government regulations and requirements.
