Under the direct guidance of the Billing Operations management, is accountable for gathering, publishing and keeping accounts payments. Submits claims and follows up with clients and insurer. Offers exceptional client service and assistance to clients, service partners and/or public in basic.
PRIMARY OBLIGATIONS
· Evaluations encounters got for all relevant info: client info, insurance coverage details, service descriptors, medical diagnosis codes and handled care permission requirements.
· Prepares and sends electronic/paper claims to insurer or billings to business accounts.
· Prepares, evaluations and sends out client declarations.
· Examines and guarantee the precision of in details in the billing system.
· Gets in, evaluations and obtains client account info from EMR system.
· Fixes up details on encounter kind with info in EMR.
· Examines declined claims.
· Quickly recognizes and solves clients, insurance provider, labs, and associated workplaces billing grievances.
· Works as an intermediary for all correspondence and inquiries referring to billing problems.
· Prints and sends claims types to all providers and clients.
· Continues regular follow-up of claims sent to keep track of payment status.
· Carries out collection actions consisting of calling clients by phone, remedying and resubmitting claims to 3rd party payers.
· Follows and reports status on overdue accounts.
· Process payments from insurer and clients and prepares an everyday deposit.
· Submit finished batches, consisting of coupons, transmittals, bank deposit slips, copies of checks, and charge card invoices.
· Evaluations and procedures medical record demands from all entities in keeping with MD Now Policy and to the letter of the law.
· Assists in credentialing for the suppliers with the insurance provider.
· Maintains strictest privacy; complies with all HIPAA guidelines/regulations. Ensures clients privacy at all times.
ABILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School diploma or comparable needed.
2 (2) years of college and/or a Partner Degree (AA) is valuable. Need to supply evidence of graduation.
Task Type: Full-time
Experience:
· 3 (3) years of medical billing experience is needed.
· One (1) year billing experience in Urgent Care or comparable practice setting is extremely chosen.
· Understanding of medical coding and third-party operating treatments and practices is extremely preferable.
· Understanding of federal government regulative requirements suitable to their function.
· Computer System Literate: Excel, Word and PowerPoint are preferable. E-Clinical Functions understanding is useful.
License and/or Accreditations: Accreditation in Medical Billing is useful. Evidence of Accreditation needed.
