Summary:
Monitors the everyday operations of the HIS Coding System. Collaborates the coding associated elements of the Danbury Health Center Compliance Strategy, consisting of quality tracking, personnel education, policy advancement and internal reporting connected to ICD-9-CM/ ICD-10- CM, CPT-4 and DRG/APC task. Responsible for quality, timeliness, efficiency and precision of IP, OP and ED coding, abstracting, information entry for ideal repayment and analytical functions.
Duties:
1. Monitors workflow to make sure prompt expense submission, along with, private coder work project in numerous record classifications to stabilize performance with coder ability advancement & private skills.
2. Carries out real coding & abstracting responsibilities as required to preserve workflow. Makes sure coding is based upon doctor documents. Functions to get total documents when needed and assists to determine locations of paperwork that require enhancement.
3. Carries out continuous compliance audits on Coding/DRG/APC task quality and efficiency, evaluates findings & sends composed reports to supervisor.
4. Keeps a working understanding of ICD-9-CM/ ICD-10- CM, CPT-4 coding concepts, governmental policies, Seimen’s Invision, SoftMed and 3M software application, 3rd party billing procedure requirements, in addition to, patterns in the potential payment system.
5. Remains present with ICD-9 and ICD-10 regulative & code modifications. Assists Coding Fitness Instructor & Director in ICD-10 training of coders & suppliers as required.
6. Screens monetary and management reports, in addition to, service contracts with suppliers to guarantee right & prompt processing of details.
7. Fixes SoftMed ClinTrac, invision and 3M by carefully dealing with ITG, system administrators & supplier to make sure prompt resolution.
8. Collaborates correction of coding associated CHIME information components mistakes and assists to recognize system or information quality issues to lower future mistakes & guarantee system correction & management notice as essential.
