Offers constant education to outpatient coders on International Category of Illness (ICD-10- CM) and Typical Procedural Terms (CPT) code updates and ideas, and Hierarchical Condition Codes (HCC).
Task Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or General Educational Advancement (G.E.D.) needed.
Prefer associates degree in administration or associated field plus accreditation as a Registered Health Info Technologist (RHIT).
Experience
Minimum one year experience carrying out medical coding or offering health care coding training needed.
Previous supervisory experience chosen.
License/Certifications
Present accreditation as a Qualified Expert Coder (CPC) needed.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
Understanding of healthcare shipment systems, compliance, profits cycle and privacy/HIPAA requirements.
Understanding of Meaningful Usage requirements and procedures.
Capability to interact successfully both verbally and in composing.
Capability to develop efficiency requirements, evaluate achievement and require for enhancement and do something about it to reward, counsel, establish or promote/terminate workers as proper.
Capability to keep existing on concerns, practices, and procedures connected to coding and compliance.
Ability in making use of desktop computer, appropriate software application (consisting of Microsoft applications) and basic workplace devices.
