EL PASO, Texas– Today, University Medical Center of El Paso is happy to reveal another development in health care as the area’s very first portable MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) system enters into operation today. The system, referred to as the Swoop, is reinventing MRI scanning by bringing the MRI system to clients, at bedside.
“This is another innovative tool our suppliers need to have actually scans provided for clients who are too ill or not able to be transferred downstairs for imaging,” stated Greg Erickson, Assistant Administrator Ancillary Services.
