Obligations:
- Coordinate and monitor all activities within program and is accountable for the company; administration; routine evaluation; preparation; advancement; assessment; consistency with instructional objective and scope; and total efficiency of the program
- Involvement in the examination (or evaluation) of the efficiency of personnel
- Assess the efficiency of all personnel and offer a chance for enhancement.
- Adhere to all legal requirements relating to coding treatments and practices
- Conduct audits and coding evaluations to guarantee all paperwork is precise and exact
- Appoint and series all codes for services rendered
- Work together with billing department to make sure all expenses are pleased in a prompt way
- Interact with insurance provider about coding mistakes and disagreements
- Submit analytical information for analysis and research study by other departments
- Contact doctors and other healthcare experts with concerns about treatments or diagnostic tests provided to clients with regard to coding treatments
- Maintain privacy, self-evident stability.

Requirements
- RHIA, RHIT or CCS Required
- Minimum of 5 years of coding experience utilizing ICD-9-CM, ICD-10- CM/ICD-10- PCS, CPT, HCPCS
- Needs to be arranged and detail-oriented
- Strong mathematics and computer system abilities
- Federal laws and guidelines impacting coding requirements
- Understanding of medical records, EHR systems
- Understanding of billing practices
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Details Technology/Management or associated field from a regionally recognized post-secondary organization
- Accreditation as a Registered Health Details Specialist (RHIT) OR as a Registered Health Details Administrator (RHIA)
- Master’s Degree in Health Details Technology/Management or associated field from a regionally recognized post-secondary organization chosen
