Retinal Professional Medical Group is the predominant service provider of sight protecting care in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys, and surrounding areas. We have the following open position in our main billing workplace:
Charge coders are mainly accountable for:
- Processing paper and electronic cost tickets
- Applying appropriate modifiers and/or CPT coding for codes subject to CCI Edits
- Reviewing supporting chart paperwork
- Processing claim recodes and claim rejections
- Transmitting tidy claims through our claims clearinghouse supplier
- Fixing up PODIS Retina drug reports
Preferred Credentials:
- Previous charge coding and/or medical billing experience and/or accreditation
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
- Understanding of insurance coverage submittal treatments and medical types
- Experience with NextGen systems
- Ophthalmic Technician experience
- Shown ability to work as a team and find out new systems quickly
- Must have a high attention to detail and enjoy working in a quick paced environment
