Position summary:
The function of the Medical Practices Coding Expert is to be accountable for examining and helping in conclusion of ambulatory coding records in the Medical Practice to guarantee the right ICD10 codes, CPT and E/M level codes. These codes are utilized to bill the client for services and this position will make sure optimal repayment for services rendered. In addition, the position extracts information concerning medical diagnosis, treatments, and the proper doctor for precise reporting. The Coding Expert helps and takes part in quality enhancement and evaluation and education for the suppliers within the practice.
MINIMUM CERTIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or comparable needed. Substantial understanding of medical terms, anatomy and physiology needed. Understanding of ICD-10, CPT, E/M level coding and modifier use needed.
Needed length and kind of experience:
2 years experience operating in a medical practices coding environment
Needed licensure, accreditation or computer registry:
CPC or CCS-P qualifications chosen.
