WHY HOLD SINGLE OR MULTIPLE MEDICAL CODING CREDENTIALS

featured image

This episode I chat about why hold a single or multiple medical coding credentials. Does it make a difference? Does it give you a competitive edge? If you are a brand new medical coder this video will be really helpful for you. With all those medical coding credentials out there, how do you make sense of it all? Really knowing first and foremost if you like being a medical coder is a good start. Then looking at attaining additional credentials would be the next step.
Understand that holding multiple medical coding credentials means that you will have to produce more continuing education units (CEUs) in order to maintain those credentials. Carefully consider expanding your “alphabet”. It is great, but does require more effort to maintain.
