Medical Assistant Scope
The Medical Assistant II operates under the guidance and licensure of the Physician or Advanced Practice Clinician within the scientific setting.
Medical Assistant Job Essentials

3 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient center or other health care setting

Satisfactorily finishes relevant proficiency evaluations and abilities lists within 90 days of hire or transfer into Medical Assistant task.

Successful conclusion of a recognized Medical Assistant program or one with which Intermountain Healthcare has a legitimate association contract, or
– and –
Satisfactorily finishes relevant proficiency assessments/skills lists within 90 days of hire/transfer into Medical Assistant task.
Preferred Qualifications
Current nationwide MA accreditation from among the list below nationwide MA accreditations or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA.
Experience in an outpatient center or other health care setting.
