JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant should have the ability to show the understanding and abilities needed to offer care proper to the age of the clients. The specific need to show understanding of the concepts of development and advancement over the life expectancy and have the capability to evaluate information reflective to the client’s status and translate the suitable details required to determine each client’s requirements, and to offer the care required as explained in the departments policies and treatments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Graduate from a certified medical assistant program or comparable experience chosen.
EXPERIENCE
Previous customer support and/or medical workplace experience chosen.
SKILLS
Communicate successfully with workers and connect efficiently with a wide range of clients. Understanding relating to aseptic method, current on presently utilized drugs, their actions, and negative effects. Comprehending of medical/legal factors to consider. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Administrative Duties:
- Answering telephones
- Updating, filing, and scanning client medical records
- Coding and submitting insurance coverage kinds
- Scheduling consultations
- Arranging for healthcare facility admissions and lab services
- Completes order, preserves stock, and orders products from product management.
- Makes out upkeep demands and guarantees products are fixed.
Medical Assistant Functions:
- Taking case histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to clients
- Preparing clients for evaluation
- Collecting and preparing lab specimens
- Performing standard lab tests
- Instructing clients about medication and unique diet plans
- Preparing and administering medications as directed by a company
- Authorizing prescription refills as directed
- Drawing blood
- Taking electrocardiograms, as required
- Removing stitches and altering dressings
- Assist doctor and doctor assistant in test spaces

- Take telephone messages and offer feedback and responses to patient/physician/pharmacy calls

- Maintain all logs and needed checks (i.e. fridge temperature levels, emergency situation medications, ended medications, oxygen, cold sanitation fluid modification, and so on)
- Pursues continuing education.
- Follows policies and treatments per Cody Regional Health.
- Should have the ability to work well under scenarios of tension.
- Performs laboratory treatments as licensed.
Other Clinical Duties:
- Performs secondary responsibilities as needed, i.e. purchasing tests, running specimens to CRH, or getting materials as asked for.
- Assists in basic health of the center and self, keeping waiting space and all workspace tidy and without mess.
- Assists with back workplace functions as trained, i.e. rooming clients, taking important indications, and carrying out laboratory treatments as licensed.
- Adheres to Cody Regional Health Standards of Behavior.
- All other tasks as appointed.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Attends department conferences and in-services and catastrophe drills.
- Stays up to date on all changes/education impacting position.
- Keeps existing with CPR accreditation.
