The Role
As a Revenue Accountant & Billing Specialist, your mission is to deliver timely, accurate and actionable data for revenue recognition as well as provide timely responses to GoCanvas and DeviceMagic clients to ensure billing records are complete and accurate. This combined role requires attention to detail, the ability to query, update and maintain client information in our various billing systems, and perform revenue analysis.
Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager, your mission will be to support our clients and the Accounting and Finance teams. This is an incredibly meaningful role as you will be working closely with the Sales team, learning the business revenue streams and supporting the month end close process.

Your Most Important Initiatives:
- Create and maintain invoicing records in our billing systems
- Proactively work with clients, accounting, support and account management to ensure client records are properly updated, paid timely and accurately reflected in our systems & client communications
- Forge collaborative working relationships with internal teams such as support, customer success and sales
- Updating records to reflect new accounts added, changes to existing accounts, and matching payments received against invoices issues
- Reconciling payments with invoicing activity as part of the month-end close process
- Perform monthly revenue recognition process and revenue analysis, reviewing timely with Sr. Accounting Manager and Controller
What Success Looks Like:
- Working closely with Clients, Accounting and Account Management to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and payment collection
- Providing timely follow-up regarding billing questions from both clients and internal teams
- Performing monthly reconciliations and analysis, identifying any necessary adjustments
What You Bring:
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands, multiple priorities, commitments, and projects with strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to exercise your empathy muscle when working with clients
- Self-motivation to not only become an individual leader but a team player ready to establish GoCanvas as a globally dominant force (hint: a strong work ethic will take you far!)
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively, and stay focused under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- 2+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Prior experience with Zuora, Recurly, Salesforce, Zendesk and/or Intercom is a plus
