Accountable for the coordination of activities to monitor physician paperwork in the medical record with concerns to relevant policies and billing to support services rendered. Provides education to doctors and coders relating to paperwork enhancement chances for both facility and professional billing. Investigates, examines, and reacts to queries relating to coding and documentation compliance in accordance with all coding standards and Medicare/Medicaid policies. Help with coding, documentation, and billing concerns to guarantee compliant coding and billing. Establish education materials to resolve problems or brand-new requirements and have the ability to provide to suppliers or other appropriate staff members. Helps identify locations for education opportunities based on market performance, regulatory focus locations and risk locations within the company.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
RHIT certification with a Partner’s Degree in HIM, or CPC accreditation with Associates Degree or High School Diploma and two years of experience in Coding and Supplier Education
Preferred:
RHIA certification with a Bachelor’s Degree in HIM Partner’s degree in associated field such as Health Science
5 years education experience in the health care field
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
CPC or RHIT or RHIA or CCS
