Expert Billing Coding Charge & Rejection Professional


Position Overview

The Professional Billing Coding Charge & Denial Outpatient Denial Expert is accountable for coordinating and monitoring the coding specific scientific charges and denial management in a collaborative environment with Profits Cycle and scientific partners at UHS. This position will be responsible for working assigned specializeds that might consist of but are not restricted to: primary care, basic surgical treatment, neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, CV surgical treatment, medicine, ENT, cosmetic surgery, and OB/GYN. The incumbent combines clinical, organization, and regulative knowledge and ability to decrease considerable financial risk and exposure triggered by front end claim modifies and retrospective denial of payment for services provided.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

High School Diploma or comparable and CPC, CCA, CCS-P or CCS

1 year relative medical billing experience.

1 year of coding experience.

Capability to read and understand explanation of benefits and ANSI/remark codes.

CPT and ICD-10 coding knowledge.

Experience with Microsoft Workplace Software.

Preferred:

Associates Degree in HIT with RHIT accreditation or associated location.

3 years of medical coding/billing experience.

License/Certification
