Position Summary: The Vaccine Billing Representative is responsible for entering in the demographics, billing, coding and clinical information for patients receiving vaccinations into Aprima. They will ensure all patient demographics, accounts, and insurance verification is in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) accurately before the claim is sent to insurance. This includes entering data into the COVID uninsured program and setting up the COVID uninsured account in Aprima. Essential Functions: Demographic verification Insurance eligibility verification Claim Note Claim Processing Vaccine Form Scanning Performs a variety of general clerical duties and other routine functions Ensures strict confidentiality of patient and financial records. Requirements Education/Experience: Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry. Be a fluent typist. Knowledgeable in the United States insurance system (commercial, government plans). Ability to read, write and clearly speak the English and prefer Spanish language as well. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and deal with multiple linguistic cultural variables. Preferred experience with electronic medical records, insurance plans and practice management systems. Self-directing and organized. Ability to reason objectively and understand when to contact supervisor or co-workers for direction Ability to document concisely, accurately and in timely manner. Ability to handle a variety of duties which may be interrupted or changed by immediate circumstances. Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, co-workers, administration, physicians and providers, community agencies, referral sources, regulators, and other health team members.
