OrthoIllinois has grown dynamically to become one of the leading bone and joint centers in northern Illinois. We are currently seeking a Medical Coding Specialist to join the coding team. This position requires on-site training at the E. Riverside Clinic in Rockford, IL. After six months of successful training remote work will be considered.
Essential Duties
Daily charge capture for all assigned Providers/Ancillary Services
Review of claims requiring follow-up appeals
Audit Provider dictation for compliance and accuracy
Handle incoming patient, internal employee or insurance questions in respect to coding inquiries
Qualifications
Certified Professional Coder or Certified Professional Coder (Apprentice) preferred
Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D
Experience
Billing/Coding experience
Knowledge of CPT and ICD 10 coding
Knowledge of Computer Applications
