Responsibilities
Overall the incumbent will be accountable for the business’s third-party medical claims processing and helping clients and workplace personnel with concerns on insurance coverage claims, permissions, declarations, and other billing problems. This position will prepare, send and follow-up on medical claims for Managed Care Organization (MCO), Medicaid, Medicare, Other Federal, Private Insurance, and Workers Compensation.
- Files and procedures main and secondary third-party medical claims.
- Verifies all the details for claims processing is total and precise.
- Contacts the proper individual to get missing out on or uncertain billing details.
- Follows-up by site and/or telephone on all unsettled and rejected claims to identify next strategy, which might need re-billing missing out on claims, rejected claims or sending out extra info on pending claims.
- Sends appeal letters to insurer.
- Obtains permissions when required.
- Identifies and remedies charge entry/ billing mistakes.
- Provides correct paperwork to insurance provider.
- Handles insurance provider concerns, grievances, and/or issues.
- Responds to and connects with clients worrying all elements of billing through phone, email or routine mail in a timely and considerate way.
- Documents all actions and preserves irreversible records of client accounts.
- Assists with addressing phones, evaluating calls and following-upon messages.
- Works with management on client billing and insurance coverage problems.
- Processes refunds to clients and insurer.
- Works with outdoors programs (i.e., co-pay support) to make sure appropriate payment.
- Communicates with front workplace personnel in order to try to gather any exceptional client balances.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 (2) years Medical Insurance/Healthcare Billing and Collections experience in a medical practice or health system. 6 months of previous client service experience chosen.
- Prior experience with an electronic medical record system needed.
- Working understanding of medical billing, collections and payment publishing, profits cycle, 3rd party payers, Medicare; and strong understanding of Federal payer guidelines.
- Working understanding of CPT and ICD10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim kinds, HIPAA, billing and insurance coverage guidelines, medical terms, insurance coverage advantages and appeal procedures.
- Ability to manage delicate and secret information in an expert way.
- Maintains understanding of coordination of advantages requirements and procedures.
- Demonstrated success operating in a group environment concentrated on conference company objectives and goals is needed.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to information.
- Ability to examine files for precision and reasonability
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to multi-task, set concerns and follow through without direct guidance.
- Effectively interact with doctors, clients, insurance providers, associates and personnel.
- Intermediate computer system abilities consisting of Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of policies and treatments to properly address concerns from internal and external consumers.
- Detail oriented and tolerant of regular disturbances and interruptions from clients and personnel.
- Excellent social abilities consisting of the capability to connect successfully and expertly with people at all levels; both internal and external.
- Exercises sound judgment in reacting to queries; comprehends when to path questions
- Team gamer that establishes strong collective working relationships with internal partners and can efficiently engage and capability to develop agreement amongst cross-functional groups
