Under the instructions of the manager of the department, The Medical Imaging Scheduler supplies basic clerical assistance in a high volume medical imaging. Duties consist of, however are not restricted to, addressing phones, running computer systems, scheduling consultations, screening clients, offering composed and spoken guidelines to clients, filing, hanging and arranging movies, finishing client registration, coding and inspecting billings, offer billing and information entry assistance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or comparable education/experience needed.

Experience:

  • 2 years medical receptionist experience, ideally in a radiology setting needed
  • Working understanding of medical workplace treatments and medical terms needed
  • Basic computer/keyboard abilities needed
  • Excellent spoken and written interaction abilities needed
  • Excellent customer support abilities needed
  • Attention to information needed
  • Ability to work as part of a group needed

Department-Specific Requirement:

  • Minimum 6 months work experience in a radiology department needed (Medical Imaging)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to check out and analyze files such as security guidelines, running and upkeep guidelines, and treatment handbooks.
  • Ability to compose regular reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak efficiently
  • Ability to include, deduct, increase, and divide in all systems of step, utilizing entire numbers, typical portions, and decimals

  • Knowledge of glowing and/or comparable electronic health record program for scheduling, registration of radiology treatments (Medical Imaging)
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical treatments and systems such as data processing, handling files and records, and other workplace treatments and medical terms (Medical Imaging)
  • Knowledge of concepts and procedures for offering consumer and individual services, both personally and on phones. This consists of consumer requirements evaluation, fulfilling quality requirements for services, and consumer complete satisfaction (Medical Imaging)
