Under the instructions of the manager of the department, The Medical Imaging Scheduler offers basic clerical assistance in a high volume medical imaging. Obligations consist of, however are not restricted to, responding to phones, running computer systems, scheduling visits, screening clients, providing composed and spoken directions to clients, filing, hanging and arranging movies, finishing client registration, coding and examining billings, offer billing and information entry assistance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or comparable education/experience needed.

Experience:

  • 2 years medical receptionist experience, ideally in a radiology setting needed
  • Working understanding of medical workplace treatments and medical terms needed
  • Basic computer/keyboard abilities needed
  • Excellent spoken and written interaction abilities needed
  • Excellent customer support abilities needed
  • Attention to information needed
  • Ability to work as part of a group needed

Department-Specific Requirement:

  • Minimum 6 months work experience in a radiology department needed (Medical Imaging)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to check out and translate files such as security guidelines, running and upkeep directions, and treatment handbooks.
  • Ability to compose regular reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak efficiently
