Job Duties

  • Prepares, updates, and keeps a medical record for each client making sure precision of info.
  • Maintains visit system for clients and medical personnel where suitable.
  • Tracks compliance with arranged client consultations, making prompt pointers notifications, or contacts us to the center and IHSC personnel prior to each consultation where relevant.
  • Determines coding for appropriate medical record types from suitable recommendations.
  • Files/scans lab, radiology, and other reports in suitable areas of the electronic medical record within proposed period.
  • Perform other tasks as appointed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting as a medical record specialist, medical record clerk, system secretary, or comparable position where the processing of electronic medical/health records became part of the day-to-day obligations.
  • Ability to pass a federal government security background check.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to stroll unaided at a regular speed for approximately 10 minutes and preserve balance.
  • Required to react to any medical emergency situation within 4 minutes, where a quick walk or jog might be essential to offer help.
  • Required to carry out CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
  • Must have the capability to help ill, hurt or aging detainees or personnel leaving the structure throughout an emergency situation (might need lifting, dragging, wheeling or bring somebody who weighs substantially more than self).
  • Must have the ability to see, hear and smell with or without using assistants if required (exceptions on a case-by-case basis).
