Job Duties

  • Prepares, updates, and preserves a medical record for each client making sure precision of details.
  • Maintains consultation system for clients and scientific personnel where suitable.
  • Tracks compliance with set up client consultations, making prompt suggestions notifications, or contacts us to the center and IHSC personnel prior to each visit where relevant.
  • Determines coding for appropriate medical record types from suitable recommendations.
  • Files/scans lab, radiology, and other reports in proper areas of the electronic medical record within proposed period.
  • Perform other tasks as appointed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting as a medical record professional, medical record clerk, system secretary, or comparable position where the processing of electronic medical/health records belonged to the everyday duties.
  • Ability to pass a federal government security background check.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to stroll unaided at a typical rate for as much as 10 minutes and keep balance.
  • Required to react to any medical emergency situation within 4 minutes, where a quick walk or jog might be required to offer help.
  • Required to carry out CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
  • Must have the capability to help ill, hurt or aging detainees or personnel leaving the structure throughout an emergency situation (might need lifting, dragging, wheeling or bring somebody who weighs considerably more than self).
