Department Summary

The University of North Texas (UNT) Student Health and Wellness Center is a full-service medical center offering basic health and specialized treatment to all UNT trainees. The Student Health and Wellness Center is staffed with certified doctors, nurse professionals, pharmacists, accredited laboratory technologists, psychiatrists, signed up nurses, signed up dietitians, radiology specialists, and massage therapists.

To supply nursing care for clients at the UNT Student Health and Wellness.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED equivalent, and one year of associated experience. Replacement of education for experience enabled.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working understanding of drug store and/or medical innovation and practices as required.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities while standing or strolling for extended period of time.
  • Knowledge of security and security preventative measures proper to work carried out.

Job Duties

Presents an expert attitude when connecting with internal and external consumers. Follows proper hierarchy.

Participates in all necessary SHWC trainings and conferences, consisting of committees, as designated. Practices and follows appropriate personal privacy and security guidelines.

o

Charts, codes, and charges all client encounters according to present coding standards.

o

Assists medical suppliers in examining and dealing with clients.

o

Performs set up checks of designated workspace and sends proper signed types suggesting conclusion.

o

Other responsibilities as appointed.
