Position Duties:
1. Carries out coding and abstracting on inpatient and or CCL/Interventional Radiology cases as required by choosing and recording ICD 10- CM medical diagnosis and ICD 10 PCS treatment codes.
2. Designates proper treatment codes, DRG, POA, ROI, SOI, APC and or modifiers with precision rate of 95% or higher.
3. Carries out abstracting of coding and medical information (I.e. discharge personality, discharge date, client type, and so on.) with a precision rate of 95% or higher.
4. Codes 2.5 inpatient/ rehab system records per hour.
5. Codes/abstracts 2.5 CCL/Interventional Radiology/Special Treatment system records per hour.
6. Process of E-mails, Smarts, CDI, Internal/External Audits daily within a 24 to 48 hour action time.
7. Process of LEGENDARY Control panel daily, IP/OP, Concern, Interim, Rehabilitation, CCL & Inpatients.
8. Process in LEGENDARY stopped working claims mistakes, and coding evaluation required Q daily.
9. Maintains existing status of Coding Qualifications, by yearly sending evidence of compliance with AHIMA requirements.
10. Finishes 30 hours of Continued Education each year.
11. Refers inquiries to doctors and concerns to managers as suitable, abiding by all internal audit requirements, (i.e. evaluation charts for Complication/Cormorbidity compliance).
12. Carries out day-to-day confirmation of records gotten, representing all charts.
Certifications:
RHIA Or RHIT Or CCS or qualified to evaluate for among these. Accreditation needs to be gotten w/n 12 months of work.
Associates degree in Health Info Management or conclusion of Coding Expert Prog.
2 years of coding ICD10- CM/PCS with DRG project and CPT-4
