The Manager of Medical Billing, will lead and handle a group of billing experts who are accountable for sending out billings to customers and gathering payments.
Supervisory Obligations:
- Interviews potential staff members and selects the very best candidate based upon abilities, understanding, and capabilities needed for the task.
- Trains and manages staff members associated with billing functions.
- Directs appointed jobs and supplies support as required.
- Helps with efficiency assessments.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages the preparation of declarations and costs.
- Keeps and/or makes sure upkeep of customer records associated with invoicing and expense payment.
- Evaluations work of billing personnel to guarantee precision, dealing with disparities as required.
- Develops and offers a prioritized list of customers to be invoiced to staff member.
- Finds, or helps in place of, hard-to-reach customers.
- Drafts and disperses weekly reports of invoicing and billing metrics.
- Encourages personnel on correct, legal criteria for collections practices; makes sure that all billing actions abide by business, regional, state, and federal standards.
- Offers consumer assistance to consumers with conflicts or questions worrying billings or billing procedure.
- Carries out other associated tasks as appointed.
