Minimum Qualifcation:
High school diploma or comparable and (5) years of medical billing and complex multi-specialty coding experience needed. Accreditation from AHIMA– CCSP, AAPC– CPC, CMC, or associated accreditation as authorized by department management.
Task Description:
Supplies expert coding and paperwork education to suppliers and coders within UTMB to increase coding compliance and consistency in paperwork and coding standards. Position is accountable for coordination of all elements of company, practice, and coder education, consisting of however not restricted to scheduling, tracking, follow-up, and workflow combination. In addition, position works carefully with QA Auditing group to figure out education chances by means of rejection patterns, audits, and standards from all 3rd party payers.
Task Tasks:
- Manage relationship with suppliers/ departments within UTMB for the education of suppliers to increase coding compliance and consistency in documents and coding standards.
- Coordinate and present education of companies, practices and coders connected to run the risk of change, coding and paperwork.
- Evaluation and disperse QA reports to departments and the billing companies on a yearly basis.
- Develop all academic products and track all instructional activities.
- Track all patterns and patterns of companies, departments, centers, and coders for coding and documents education chances.
- Consults with QA auditing group to examine audits to figure out coding and documents education chances.
- Actively take part in group functions such as group conferences, academic sessions, and group tasks to promote team effort and consistency in interaction.
- Sticks to internal controls and reporting structure.
Preferred Abilities:
- Experience with/in IMPRESSIVE, Doctor Billing/ Healthcare Facility Billing, Income Cycle, Coding, Charge Capture, Medicare, and/or CMS.
- Proficient composed, oral interaction and discussions abilities.
- Experience in Excel and report analysis.
Work Arrange:
Monday through Friday 8: 00 am-5: 00 pm
