Job Description:

PeaceHealth is looking for a Billing/Follow-up Specialist – Commercial Billing for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. Per hour payment begins at $1761, more depending upon experience.

This position will be carried out totally remote. If telecommuting, PeaceHealth will supply the caretaker with essential computer system devices. It is the duty of the caretaker to offer Internet gain access to.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all stages of billing/account follow-up utilizing accepted billing practices to guarantee extensive and constant account resolution to promote monetary health. This position makes sure appropriate repayment and proper days in Accounts Receivables with prompt account follow-up and resolution of impressive charges owed by 3rd party payors. Accountable for all locations of billing and account follow-up consisting of claims submission, account follow-up with insurance coverage payors, and resolution of repayment concerns for multi-facility, multi-specialty company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Resolve insurance coverage claim rejections/denials, and non-payment of claims by payors.
  • Identify patterns in billing and follow-up, preserving working understanding of state and federal billing standards in order to determine methods which our clients can accelerate resolution of insurance coverage accounts and determine hold-ups in processing.
  • Responsible for preparing efficient interest insurer for compensation of cash owed.
  • Responsible for preserving everyday account, follow-up work lists within department while keeping company’s performance requirements.
  • Ensure compliancy is fulfilled and procedure claims in accordance with agreements and policies, in addition to adjudicate claims as proper.
  • Responsible for determining, looking into, and fixing: credit balances, missing out on payments and unposted money as it relates to billing account follow-up.
  • Process, and keep, within expectation, all correspondence gotten from clients and insurer as it refers to remedy and prompt billing of claims, and invoice of payment.
  • Responsible for dealing with client conflicts and submission of concerns to coding for evaluation to make sure organizational and profits cycle procedures are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

  • Associates Degree or Medical Billing Certificate chosen

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a billing or insurance coverage account follow-up capability is needed; Formal training or college coursework from a medical coding certified school, particular to medical billing in lieu of experience might be thought about
  • Medical terms experience needed
  • Knowledge of insurance coverage procedures and billing standards guidelines needed
  • Coding understanding chosen
  • Epic experience, particularly Resolute Billing Module experience chosen

OTHER SKILLS:

  • Proficient usage of computer systems consisting of Microsoft Office 2010 applications
