Front Office Medical Receptionist


Medical Receptionist required for Multi-Specialty Physician’s Office in Sugarland!

General Summary:

Provide high quality client care services, dealing with all clients’ and visitors with courtesy, fairness, and regard. Deal with management and team member in a spirit of cooperation and team effort. Supports the objectives and goals of Allergy & ENT Associates.

Selected Duties and Responsibilities:

Follows workplace policies, treatments, and procedures as suitable.

Communicates successfully with other employee.

Follows OSHA policies and the security standards of the Practice.

Follows HIPAA policies and treatments.

Respects and preserves client privacy.

Greets visitors in respectful, timely, practical way. Offers any essential instructions/directions. Notifies proper department/person of client’s arrival.

Completes required documents such as cost tickets, and so on. Utilizes computer system to produce info required for billing. Gets in charges for all services supplied.

Updates client details, gathers co-pays, supplies any required types requiring conclusion, gets signature as required.

Maintains tidy, organized waiting space and workspace.

Answers phone quickly and in an enjoyable way and handle consumer requires expeditiously, such as making consultations, taking messages for the medical personnel, and so on

Updates info in electronic client charts according to policy and treatment.

May carry out particular Job Activities as appointed per workplace area

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of medical terms and basic clerical treatments

Knowledge of CPT & ICD-9/10 Coding System

Strong understanding in HMO, PPO, and medical insurance coverage market

Ability to run to a multi-line telephone system

Computer abilities to consist of Microsoft Office & Outlook, EPM & EHR.

Must be self-directed and able to work individually

Ability to check out, comprehend and follow oral and written guidelines.

Education and Experience:

High School graduate or equivalent

Five (5) years of workplace experience needed; choose 3 (3) years medical workplace experience.

Non-Smoking Environment.

Some regional travel might be required to other workplace places.
