Position Summary
This position contributes and supports Revenue Integrity’s Mission towards producing a multidisciplinary income stability group to enhance the user interface in between scientific departments and charge enhancement procedure. Under the instructions of the Director of Revenue Integrity, this position is accountable for tracking, determining, fixing, with analysis of account mistakes prior to claim submission to consist of Discharge Not Billed (DNB), Stop Bills (SB), Workques (WQ) and Dashboards.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or GED. Technical school or bachelor’s degree in financing or science or comparable mix of education and experience.
License/Certifications: Applicable expert accreditation through AHIMA (CCA) or AAPC (CPC A, COC-A) are extremely preferable. Need to acquire expert credential within 6 months of work.
Experience: One (1) to 3 (3) years’ experience in the health center setting, health care market or coding. IMPRESSIVE HB/PB experience chosen.
Proficiencies: Current understanding of earnings cycle procedures and healthcare facility/ medical billing. Comprehending of parts of electronic medical record. Existing understanding of code information sets to consist of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD. Existing understanding of NCCI edits, and Medicare LCD/NCDs.
