Position Summary
This position contributes and supports Revenue Integrity’s Mission towards developing a multidisciplinary profits stability group to enhance the user interface in between medical departments and charge enhancement procedure. Under the instructions of the Director of Revenue Integrity, this position is accountable for tracking, determining, remedying, with analysis of account mistakes prior to claim submission to consist of Discharge Not Billed (DNB), Stop Bills (SB), Workques (WQ) and Dashboards.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: High school diploma or GED. Technical school or bachelor’s degree in financing or science or comparable mix of education and experience.
License/Certifications: Applicable expert accreditation through AHIMA (CCA) or AAPC (CPC A, COC-A) are extremely preferable. Need to acquire expert credential within 6 months of work.
Experience: One (1) to 3 (3) years’ experience in the medical facility setting, health care market or coding. LEGENDARY HB/PB experience chosen.
Proficiencies: Current understanding of income cycle procedures and medical facility/ medical billing. Comprehending of elements of electronic medical record. Existing understanding of code information sets to consist of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD. Present understanding of NCCI edits, and Medicare LCD/NCDs.
Abilities: Due to its service focus, this position needs social and interaction abilities, analytic and organizational abilities, crucial -believing and the capability to satisfy due dates. Computer system abilities; MS Office consisting of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook; Windows running system and Internet.
