Task Description:
Position Summary
The LPN Medical Records Director keeps the clients’ scientific records, consisting of coding, auditing, and offering important personnel education relating to recordkeeping treatments. Works as the designated Privacy Officer for the center in accordance with all appropriate laws, guidelines, and Life Care requirements.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree OR a comparable mix of education and experience
- Credentialed as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) OR as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) OR have a degree in a health associated field with comprehensive training and showed skills in the HIM field
- Training in post intense care health details management
- Presently licensed/registered in appropriate State. Should keep an active Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) license in excellent standing throughout work.

Important Functions
- Contact doctor for order explanations and transcribe and interact to nursing personnel when suggested
- Take part in regular monthly medication and MAR reconciliation
- Audit and total continuous evaluation of all clients’ scientific records to guarantee paperwork and efficiency compliance
- Keep existing, overflow, and released record filing systems
- Work as the center’s Privacy Officer for HIPAA compliance
- Understand and use LTC payment systems, consisting of Medicare
- Usage ICD 10 CM coding
- Usage CPT/HCPCS coding systems
- Efficiently interact with doctors, nursing personnel, and allied health workers
- Interview, hire, train, assess, counsel, and monitor medical records personnel
- Exhibition outstanding client service and a favorable mindset towards clients
- Help in the evacuation of clients
- Show reputable, routine presence
- Focus and utilize thinking abilities and profundity
- Interact and work proficiently on an interdisciplinary group
