An established healthcare management company is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist. You’ll be primarily responsible for providing accurate and timely medical claims billing and collections to physicians.

  • Reconcile bills to daily case schedule
  • Review patient preference sheets and input charges accordingly, review for charge accuracy, and generate detailed bill
  • Verify accuracy of insurance information, 1CD9 and CPT coding
  • Maintain billing report, providing a copy daily to Manager
  • Submit primary and secondary claims both electronically and manually. Generate UB92/1500 for each claim and ensure all claims are billed within one day from date of service
  • Generate patient statements weekly
  • Correct and resubmit rejected claims
  • Provide explanation of unbilled and rejected claims to Manager daily
  • Telephone communication both internally and externally
