Lead Compensation Specialist- Medical Billing, Mental Health and Drug Abuse

Duties Include:

– Monitors workflow and group productivity

– Responsible for staff training and task of jobs

– Directs work of workers in the team to meet quality and timeliness

– Expertly and successfully communicate with group of internal billing staff, customers (county behavioral health contractor firms, mental health/substance usage counselors, and so on), insurance coverage business and federal government company personnel

– Register clients and maintain client market information entry, navigating multiple interfacing electronic health record and billing systems

– Maintain work queue and manage individual workflow, meeting concerns and required deadlines

– Costs services/claims

– Work errors, rejections, corrections

– Monitor for data quality

– Run reports to reconcile month-to-month billing cycle

– Follow up on unpaid claims

– Attend conferences and trainings internally with group, with clients, and with county behavioral health division staff.

Credentials/ Skills:

– Progressively accountable experience in billing and follow-up preferred

– Experience and/or educational background in the health care field or medical office environment might be thought about (front workplace, back office, scheduling, medical assistant, claims processing, collections, and so on).

– Industry experience in behavioral health, autism/developmental disabilities, or compound abuse treatment environments a plus

– Data entry abilities

– Familiarity navigating different computer systems needed, preferably electronic health/medical records

– Commonly utilized systems/programs/portals: Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Ebridge document managment, Unicare/Profiler, Netsmart/Avatar, Foothold/Awards, Askesis/Provider, Modification Healthcare, Office Ally, Noridian, CAQH, PAVE, NPPES
