Expectations:
The Compliance Coding Administrator is accountable for managing compliance audit activities within the structure of Huntington Business Compliance Program. This function carries out audits; supplies assistance and guidance on coding or billing subjects; takes part in committees or job forces concentrated on compliance danger; performs audits to support the yearly threat evaluation, or to support compliance examinations, as they occur; deals assistance on enhancing documents, coding and billing procedures that produce compliance threat; user interfaces with federal government enforcement firms to collaborate audits upon demand; handles third-party audit and consulting company engagements that support compliance audits; helps in the total efficient application of the Compliance Program as directed by the Vice President of Compliance, Internal Audit and Danger Management.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience/Training:
A minimum of 10 years operating in an inpatient/outpatient coding capability consisting of a minimum of 2 years in a coding auditing capability.
Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed Coding Professional (CCS) or Qualified Expert Coder (CPC) needed.
Conclusion of an AHIMA authorized coding certificate program.
Abilities:
Understanding of Medical Terms, Anatomy and Physiology. Strong interaction abilities.
