Job Purpose:

This position will be accountable for different billing responsibilities. The Billing Associate works carefully with business workplace and center personnel to guarantee precise, prompt and total billings.

Job Responsibilities:

• ¯ Submit electronic claims every day
• ¯ Prepare and send secondary claims
• ¯ Review and recognize client registration mistakes; deal with front desk to reduce client registration mistakes
• ¯ Maintain understanding of all billing and advantage modifications for 3rd party insurance coverage providers
• ¯ Work with center personnel to guarantee prompt and precise capture of charges for all services carried out within the centers
• ¯ Maintain a great working understanding of the EMR system
• ¯ Maintain an extensive understanding of billing policies and treatments together with existing client treatment procedures and the results on repayment under payor agreements and Medicare
• ¯ Respond to personnel or client concerns concerning billing treatments
• ¯ Work with doctor and/or center personnel to make sure that right diagnosis/procedures are reported to 3rd party insurance coverage providers
• ¯ Monitor claims for inaccurate coding, missing out on details, authorization/control numbers
• ¯ Perform other tasks as appointed

Knowledge and Skills

• ¯ Minimum of 2 years of medical back-office setting
• ¯ Basic medical terms and understanding of medical specializeds and insurance coverage is needed
• ¯ Knowledge of ICD-10/ CPT codes/modifies and capability to research study and use principles
• ¯ Strong organizational abilities with the capability to multitask
• ¯ Excellent composed and spoken interaction abilities
• ¯ Excellent telephone temperament and ability
• ¯ Minimum of 2 years’ experience with electronic practice management system and electronic medical records system
• ¯ High school diploma or GED; or one to 3 months associated experience and/or training; or comparable mix of education and experience
