What Will You Do?
Accounts Receivable– Insurance
- Address rejections and identify next actions
- Act on overdue claims prior to submitting due dates
- Coordinate with Claims Specialist on rejections due to payer modifications
- Identifying mistakes made at FOC level for training functions
- Re-bill or send remedied claims
- Display supplier newsletter and interactions for modifications affecting claims payment
- Communicate/Meet with Payer agents on claims concerns
- Prepare Insurance Refunds
- Demand Off-sets or Take-backs for overpayment
- Address Help Desk tickets associated with claims problems
Needed certifications consist of a minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical billing and account follow up. Should have outstanding organizational and customer support abilities, the capability to keep spreadsheets and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding needed (accreditation not needed). Medical coding, a plus.
