1 )Types of medical Coding.
a) ICD (Worldwide Category of Illness).
This code established by World Health Company (WHO). This code is utilized to explain causes of injury, health problem and death.
b) CPT (Present Treatment Terms).
This code is published and maintained by American Medical Association (AMA). This code is used to describe medical procedures taking place in doctor’s workplace or clinic.
c) HCPCS.
This code is used to explain outpatient department services like chemotherapy, hospital care and so on
2) Task Description.
a) anlalysing a number of medical statements and designate standard codes by making use of ICD, HCPCS.
b) to keep eyes on specific client record such as Doctor prescription, diagnostic tests.
c) Secret role as health claim professional.
3) Ability needed.
a) sound understanding about anatomy, physiology.
b) capability to interact on professional level.
c) capability to develop technical competency.
4) Courses offered and fees.
CPC (Certificate for Expert Coding).
1) Certificate course for 3-5 months.
2) degree course for 2 years.
