Medical Billing Clerk
Medical Billing position offered at an East End Healthcare company! Looking for individuals with a positive mindset and ready to begin work right away!
Medical Billing Clerk Job Duties:
- Present understanding of UB04 and 1500 forms
- Favorable mindset
- Past experience with Medicaid/Medicare/Commercial billing
- Collects overdue accounts by developing payment plans with clients
- Monitoring payments
- Following up with patients when payment lapses occur
- Initiates claims against estates by keeping track of deaths and overdue accounts; informing legal department to act on probate and estate concerns; following-up with clerk of court.
- Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures; reporting compliance issues.
- Keeps quality results by following requirements.
- Safeguards the company’s worth by keeping collection information confidential.
- Serves and safeguards the business’s neighborhood by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures
- Enhances billing department and business reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
Required:
Certified Medical biller
UB04 Software Application Experience
Experience with 1500 Types
