Minimum Requirements: Associates degree in a healthcare associated field or Coding curriculum to consist of medical terms, A&P, ICD-10 and coding standards or AHIMA/AAPC Coding Credential
2 years acute care coding or HIM/billing or other healthcare experience needed.
Needs strong analytical and investigative abilities in order to designate suitable group, diagnostic and procedural codes and charges, and to preserve information stability.
Preferred Credentials:
Licensure and Accreditations: AHIMA or AAPC approved coding credential gotten within 1 year of work.
