The Billing Representative 4C will take part in the client charge billing and collection system or the Division of Substance Abuse (DoSA) OTP, outpatient dependency, and main treatment centers. The Billing Representative will team up with medical personnel to acquire all required paperwork needed for billing to Patient, Medicaid, or other insurance coverage and will go into monetary information in the program’s billing database and will work to fix any rejected payments.

Position Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • Collaborate with scientific personnel to acquire all essential paperwork needed for billing to client, Medicaid, or other insurance coverages. Go into monetary information, consisting of Medicaid numbers, gender, date of birth and other insurance coverage codes into program’s billing database
  • Set all weekly rates utilizing a moving cost scale and documents offered by the client. With suitable paperwork, evaluation demands from the center for modification of client weekly charges and balances
  • Review monetary evaluation carried out by scientific personnel of all clients upon admission or modification in client’s monetary scenarios to figure out technique of payment for services
  • Identify and call medical personnel concerning clients who are overdue in spending for program services
  • Review, procedure, and display billing for claims service claims consisting of OTP, HIV Counseling, Case Management and Testing, HIV Primary Care, Chemical Dependency and client transport
  • Ensure billing is set up and collections are examined on a constant basis. Keep contact with program’s billing services, insurer, Medicaid, and NYC dept. of financing
  • Compute and send earnings deposits published on a basic journal and reported on grants
  • Bill personal insurance coverage providers for clients whose care is reimbursable through these business. Preserve records of clients with personal insurance coverage
  • Prepare and send claims, re-billing rejected claims and back billing declares to Medicaid and other accepted insurance coverages. Maintain database reconciliation. Evaluation rejections and go into corrections into billing database
  • Develop reports to track weekly set up sees
  • Perform other responsibilities as designated

Qualifications:

  • Must have high level of efficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel), medical databases (EPIC, workplace ally, IMA), finishing claim types sending inquired to suppliers
  • Must type 25 Words per minute
  • High School Diploma/ GED needed, medical billing and coding chosen
  • 3 years of working experience as a Medical Coder (CPC highly chose) with insurance coverage confirmation and permission is a need to
  • Must have strong understanding of CPT and ICD-10 billing codes and understanding of Medicaid and business insurance coverage billing
  • Must be information oriented, have the ability to fulfill rigorous due dates, and have strong customer care abilities to be able to communicate with clients and market specialists
