Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze medical record documents for suitability of services and service levels billed. Recognize locations for earnings cycle enhancement and coding stability. Advise much better documentation/pre-billing practices.
- Review and code (ICD-10, CPT-4, Modifiers) multi-specialty doctor documents prior to claim submission for FHA Clinic Outpatient, Medicine Inpatient/Outpatient, Outpatient Surgical Procedures, and other locations as required.
- Ensure prompt submission of all Multi-specialty charges to McKesson and the CBO. Contact Departments and notify Director of overdue locations or service providers impacting charge capture targets.
- Analyze billing mistake and rejection information to determine origin.
- Via the Encoder-pro software application research study LCD, CCI, and Medical Necessity. React to questions from doctors and supplementary personnel.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or comparable 7 or more years experience.
- Experience: Knowledge of doctor billing and declares processing extremely preferred.; CPC Certification from the AAPC or AHIMA in great standing or actively pursuing accreditation; Knowledge of Medicare guidelines governing billing and coding compliance.; Working understanding of Epic.; Strong social and interaction abilities.
