Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities Maintains a working understanding of CPT and ICD-9/10 CM coding concepts, governmental policies, procedures and 3rd party requirements relating to coding and billing paperwork.
- Review and code client encounters in EPIC with proper CPT, ICD-9CM, ICD 10 and HCPCS codes for a multi-specialty group practice. Providers consist of inpatient, outpatient, Emergency, and ambulatory surgical treatment for both E & M encounters and treatments.
- Utilizes the Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) modifies for precise assigning of code and use the Local Coverage Determinations for medical requirement.
- Identify any locations for enhancement in documents as associated to compliance and billing. Inquiry and/or consult with doctors concerning documents and shortages.
- Review modifies, rejections and ask for extra details from the balance dues group to guarantee the time processing of claims and all profits is recorded.
- Maintains day-to-day logs of coded work.
- Assures that personnel reports and other 3rd party regulative details concern coding requirements.
- Works with management and the billing supplier daily, on edit list and/or ask for extra info regarding minimize rejections and balance dues.
- Attends numerous classes, workshops or trainings to keeping present with CPC accreditation.
- Reviews, customizes and advises modifications to policies and treatments to enhance coding.
- Performs other associated tasks as appointed.

-Knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-9CM, ICD- 10 and CPT 4 coding accreditation acquired by conclusion of a certificate course with CPC/ CCS-P qualifications.

-Must hold an accreditation as a Certified Processional Coder (CPC).
-Ability to utilize computer system. Typical mastery and understanding of software application applications such as Microsoft, Excel, and so on
